From a bend in Hillcrest Drive, a convergence of sandy paths are baked into steep (we made the descent on all fours), undulating climbs that all lead past a grove of Eucalyptus trees to a cattle gate. Here the “V” comes into view and it’s clear which of several paths to follow. Narrow though dramatic canyons forge between the paths – easy to avoid and gawk at. The most direct path leads to the bottom of the ‘”V,” bringing to view an excellent lessen in foreshortening. 🙂
To extend your adventure, scamper over the “V” and up the hill behind it, where trails wrap over to the back side of the hills.
Almost everyone else we encountered was on a mountain bike, so that’s a great option, too!
