Van Horne Park Trail

Van Horne Park Trail

Hidden in plain sight, this spacious park is an excellent place for strollers or taking off the training wheels. A paved path encircles a large deer wilderness as well as big open fields with an elaborate playground and covered picnic tables.

If you feel like adventuring, you’ll discover a picturesque pond on the North end (also accessible via tiny little footpath from Crescent Ave.) a trickling stream on the South (also accessible from Princeton Ave. just below the intersection with Blue Spring Rd.) and two horseshoe pits beside the old gazebo on the West end.

With large parking areas at the East and West ends (off Princeton Ave. and 206 respectively) and sneaky footpaths from the North and South, there are many (very well camouflaged) access points.
