An unexpected bevy of oases are hidden under tree canopies and behind hedges in the small but wondrous Big Rock Preserve. While the paths are pristine and carefully delineated, you still get the sense you’re bushwhacking in the most exciting sense of the word. Take every spur trail – they’re all worth it!
Park under either the Casitas Vista Road or N. Ventura Ave. overpass and follow the signs pointing you toward the Big Rock Preserve along the bike trail. The trail head at each end is impossible to miss.
