The water seems always to be turquoise, the horizon gently curved and shimmering with a lazy haze, a hint of Eucalyptus in the air stoked by the warm breeze, and the coastline edging along the cliffs all the way to UC Santa Barbara’s outstretched arm. It’s natural to focus on the ocean view, but the trail is worthwhile following through grand Eucalyptus and Oak groves in the back portion of the property as well, with an option to head down to Arroyo Burro Beach – or complete the loop.
Street parking at top-of-the-cliffs level. Or the parking lot at Arroyo Burro Beach.
