Ambling in perpetual shade through passageways of bent and gnarled oak trees, this flat lollipop trail generally follows San Ysidro Creek, crossing it twice over charming stone bridges. Nasturtiums and lush greenery blanket the ground and there’s even a bit of water running past picturesque creek beaches. At about the midpoint, the Whisper Tree will lend its “ear” as you make a wish. Here the canopy opens briefly for a lovely view of the mountains before you dive into the loop portion of the trail.
