These don’t look half bad – but their glory is in the festive, spicy-citrus scent they share. You just need an orange, a string or ribbon and 20+ cloves to stick into the orange. To hang the spiky globe, tie the string around one of the clove stems before inserting it into the top of the orange. Dangle it in a place with a lot of sunshine and foot traffic.
My child’s nose has inherited this lovely tradition. Once Thanksgiving is over, it smells like orange and cloves in the playroom. (And it’s so easy, you can hang onto your LEGO figure as you work 😉 )
