This wooded trail is packed with well worn as well as spindly trails, high bluffs atop dipping valleys, and dense woods that flank a broad, ambling plain of wetlands – all wedged tightly between the Millstone River and flanking neighborhood. The local human footprint here is reflected in the enchanting accents …. and the litter. One main path connects Millstone with Melville Roads – rising to a 30 foot bluff with nice overlooks near the Melville Road end. Smaller, wilder paths run to and along the wetlands and river. There are some beautiful river vistas and a short water’s edge section, but the water is too deep and marshy for bathing. Best kayak or fishing access is near the Millstone Road bridge.
