First things first: there’s a zipline! In fact, absolutely nothing’s missing from this gargantuan recreation area made up of an amazing new playground, expansive park, arboretum and adjoining soccer complex.
A footpath sneaks off behind the volleyball court and picnic meadow, curving through cedars and low growth and eventually connecting with the Oxbridge trails. And a paved pathway, perfect for biking, crosses a lovely wooden bridge and winds through the arboretum that surrounds an expansive plateau of soccer fields. It connects to the Mill Pond Soccer Complex and Canal Link trail.
There’s expansive open lawn – flat throughout except where it crests to meet the upper edge of Harlingen Road, creating a perfect little sledding slope.
