See those things sticking up over there on the beach between the cobblestones and the mini jungle to the south of the pier? You should definitely take a closer look! There’s an intricate, fantastical world to explore of sticks, stones and seaweed – held together by intrigue and charisma.
To reach it, head south of the pier along the promenade to the little path through the flowers and brush before the you reach the jungle. Once you’re though the shrubbery, you can’t miss it on your left. Alternately, you can get there by beach.
We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Art H., the creator of this magical place. Covid prompted him to start turning a bed of stones into the sculpture garden it is today. The process soothed him, and soothes him still. He maintains the place with such care that you can feel his presence even when he’s not there. He’s hoping visitors will find the same solace and joy there – and then share it.
“Love yourself and someone else and the world will surely change.”
Art H., Creator of the Sea God Cemetery and Author of “The Holy Clowns”
