Rose Valley Falls Trail

Rose Valley Falls Trail

Our crew spanned from 8 years old to over 80 and everyone made it, safe and enchanted, to the falls. Under a mile long, the well worn out-and-back trail flanks and crosses a creek, tunnels through pretty vegetation punctuated by a few sculptural charred limbs and passes an outcropping of rocks that makes for an excellent impromptu geology lesson. On a March day following recent rains, the falls were persistently skinny.

The Los Padres mountain range provides a majestic backdrop on the return leg.
