Sondek Trail

Sondek Trail

Simple as this path looks on a map, these tall old trees shelter fire pits and campsites, artwork and even an amphitheater under their gorgeous, diverse canopies. Scout troops have done a great job caring for this trail; it is abundantly clear marked (practically polka dotted!).

The wooded trail empties onto a roadside path that swings back through the baseball and soccer fields. The park also has two play apparatuses and several picnic bench areas. A favorite quirk is the brick oven attached to the picnic gazebo – which I can only imagine makes excellent picnic pizza!

DIRECTIONS

AS A WINE….

She’d by a plummy, smoky, peppered Malbec wine with a little auserity and some generous surprises.
