The D & R Canal towpath has a few secret passages, and this is a lovely one. Just a few steps south of the towpath from Harrison Street, a humble wooden sign advertizes a path less traveled. It ambles for a half mile under mature canopies and alongside Lake Carnegie with many lakeside lookouts and special perches. Looks to be a good spot for late summer berry foraging as well.
The “directions” link pins the start of the trail. Park either at Harrison Street next to the towpath or, for a longer walk, at the towpath parking lot on Mapleton Rd.
