Otto’s Farm Park Trail

Otto’s Farm Park Trail

Sloping views sweep across farmland and forests in this beautifully maintained preserve with picnic benches scattered at meandering intersections. Natural arches beckon to be explored and timeless stone steps lead across a stream and onto a hidden meadow appointed with glorious old trees.

The well maintained trails are mowed as wide as roads through most of the preserve, with green pastures rolling in every direction. The trails wind through two sections, bisected by a stream. All trails are easily walked except those in the upper North section where the trail shrinks to a small and somewhat evasive sliver. It reconnects into the broad meadow with ancient tall trees just above the wonderful stream crossing with the stone steps. A magical place.  It’s hard to believe so much care goes into maintaining this lovely place for the lucky handful who experience it.

AS A WINE….

It’s a vivid, exuberant, herbaceus Gruener Veltliner – like drinking in the Alps.
