From Hueneme Wharf Plaza, the newly-repaired Lighthouse Promenade threads between the beach and the port to a hidden architectural treasure presiding over the port entrance: the Port Hueneme Lighthouse. Art Deco in style, the lighthouse was originally built in 1874 and its Fresnel lens is still on exhibit.
There’s a jetty at the end of the promenade and a sweet little bay beach. The bike/footpath is ideal for kids since tracks are clearly delineated and there’s no cross traffic.
